Hi! My name is Willow Hoxie, I am an early-career librarian whose areas of interest are diversity outreach and user engagement. My ultimate career goal is to become a museum librarian.
I am originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma where I received my International Baccalaureate Diploma from Booker T. Washington High School in 2012. I attended the University of Missouri for my two bachelor's degrees, English and Russian, and then continued my studies there for my Master's in the School of Information Science and Learning Technology.
As a librarian, I am interested in helping researchers find the information they need while navigating new digital platforms as well as making sure the library remains on the forefront of technology and social issues. The library is both a digital space and a physical place and should reflect that.
In my personal life I enjoy playing board games with friends and family, learning new music and going to concerts, and playing with my dog. If you want to know more about me, you can check out my portfolio or click on any of my social media links at the top or bottom of the page.
